001: The Great CommissionMatthew 28:18-20 " And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"
GO - Jesus tells us to go to those who are not Christians. Do not wait for someone to ask about your faith. Do not wait for someone to bring up the topic of religion. Do not passively wait for people to come to church. Go! We need to leave our comfort zones and go to the lost and meet them where they are at. We need to bring up the topic of Jesus in conversation. We need to be intentional, strategic, and purposeful evangelists. Go invite someone to church. Go share the good news of Jesus. Go love someone in Jesus' name.
ALL - Jesus tell us to go to all nations and make disciples—to all people, not just some. Sometimes we choose only those we think will respond to the gospel or an invitation to church. But we don’t know who will respond favorably until we share the gospel. No one can say “no” or “yes” to Jesus until they hear the gospel. And God can open the hearts of even those whom we think are the most unlikely to be interested in Jesus.
DISCIPLES - Jesus tells us to make disciples not just church attendees. A disciple is someone who learns everything that Jesus taught, obeys it, and teaches others. We need to make disciples and teach them until they can teach others. We need to make disciples and train them to make disciples who make disciples who make disciples.
